There has always been another realm. Time passes and humanity finds ways to survive without praying in temples to the gods they once feared and adored. As they improved their technology, as they became less dependent on the pantheon, the gods fell out of favor, their powers growing dull.
Mere mortals often see what they want to see so the gods have never felt the need to fully hide since they have mostly retreated to the other side. Seraphina, after all, was born to half-nereid and a god of lightning.
Raised on the Leomond Isle, she was raised more by the community than her flighty mother. She had inherited some of her fickle nature, her wanderlust, but with that came a passion for wanting to know more – particularly more about humankind and the people who say they have the powers of the gods. She consumed as many books as she possibly can, though the Isle only had the most basic information on the old ways of mortals.
It was when she had taken her little boat out that she found herself in the middle of a struggle between a young team of Powered People who called themselves The Infinities & the demons of the ocean, the both of them seeking to protect an underwater city. Who better to help them than a demigod? It was then that Seraphina found herself part of a new team. Without hesitation, she kissed the Isle goodbye with promises to visit, taking the first hovercraft to the Institute where she would receive ample training.
Seraphina is curious, pleasant once you get to know her, yet quick-tempered if things do not immediately go her way, as tempestuous as the ocean itself. She likes to make tentative plans but does not always follow through with them and makes for a better group-member than a leader. Impatient with her progress, she prefers to show off, particularly in the pool or in rainy days. You can find her dressed either in the school's standard white and silver-lined swimsuits/wet suits (she doesn't need them but won't protest the enhancements) or bright summery attire. Her skin, mostly human in appearance, is dotted with gleaming scales of greens and blues when underwater.
Powers:
• Hydrokinesis
• Electricity generation (often channeled through her magically appearing trident)
• Enhanced Durability
• Underwater breathing
Age: ?? Appears as an adult in her 20s, Actually Godly Old.
